Australia: ABS Labour Force Figures, released today, unemployment rate increased 0.2 points to 3.7%.↑The participation rate decreased 0.1 points to 66.7%.↓Monthly hours worked increased to 1,952 million hours.↑

Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence: released August15, ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence up 3.2pts to 78.2 – as perceptions of personal finances improve.

ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads released August 7, rose by 0.4% m/m in July following a downward revision in June to -2.7% m/m from -2.5% m/m. In trend terms, the series declined 0.7%m/min July. ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads have fallen 10.4% from the September peak but remain high compared to historical levels.
