Australia: ABS Labour Force  Figures, released today, unemployment rate increased 0.1 points to 3.5%.↑ The participation rate increased to 66.7%.↑ Monthly hours worked increased to 1,890 million hours.↑

China: Bureau  of Labor Statistics, released December 15, the unemployment rate remained steady at 5.5%. ↔

USA: Bureau  of Labor Statistics, released December 2, the unemployment rate remained steady at 3.7%. ↔

UK: Bureau of Labor  Statistics, released December 13, the unemployment rate increased 0.1 point to 3.7%. ↑

New Zealand: Statistics New Zealand, released November 1, the unemployment rate remained steady in the third quarter at 3.3%. ↔

Germany: Statistics Germany, released November 30, unemployment rate increased 0.1 point to 5.6%. ↑

France: Insee France, released November 15, the unemployment rate decreased  0.1 points in the third quarter to 7.3%. ↓

Spain: Instituto  Nacional de Estadistica, released October 27, unemployment rate increased to 0.19 points in the third quarter to 12.67%. ↑

Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence virtually unchanged at 82.9 despite eighth straight interest rate increase.

Job Advertisements Series, released October 4, Job Ads declined by 0.5 per cent m/m in September, following a small downward revision of the August result. But this is only 0.8 per cent below the recent peak in June. This suggests tightness in the labour market is not yet letting up, which is consistent with other indicators.

Job Vacancy Rates: ABS Labour Force Figures, released September 29, total job vacancies for the August 2022 quarter were 470,900, a decrease of 2.1% from May     2022. ↓
